Councillor

Alan Holmes

I have lived in the village for nearly 12 years and love the peaceful community that surrounds us.   Watching my son as he grows up and becomes more independent, I decided I wanted to be able to do my bit and help make Preston’s future secure and resilient for our residents, both young and old.

I spent much of my career working in the hospitality industry, from Michelin starred restaurants to the Royal Box at Ascot, but I also have a gardening business, in which I am lucky enough to work in some beautiful Cotswold gardens.  You may see me up at the allotments tending to my veggies, walking our dog Petal around the fields or talking to you about wine at the Village Quiz Nights – another of which is in the pipeline, so watch this space!

I have been tasked with the playing field so please do let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions on how we can preserve it.
