Village Fete Planning

Dates of Planning meetings

Preston Village Fete 2024.       Saturday, 7th September 2-4pm

Thank you to all of you who have come along to our Fete meetings and for all your help and support in planning this year’s Fete which will take place in the street in the area around the Village Hall.

 

Our next meeting is on Tuesday, 6 August at 7pm in the Village Hall to which everyone is invited.

 

Preparations for the Fete are moving along nicely but we still need lots of volunteers to help with the set up and take down of the Fete and with running stalls on the day.  In particular we are in need of some extra help with the following stalls and activities:
Raffle                                                                 Teas
Milk the cow children’s game                       Cakes
Water and wine stall                                       Children’s games
Bric a brac stall

Help is also needed moving items from South Cerney which will take place on Friday, 6 September at 6pm and returning them after the Fete on the Saturday.

 

Donations for the stalls.
In particular we are looking for books, toys, clothes which need to be clean please and for 5yrs up to adult only.  There should be no underwear(!) and no baby clothes, thank you.

We also need items for the tombola, raffle prizes, wine for the water and wine stall and food items for the hampers.

 

The Village Hall will be open on the following days for your kind donations drop-off:
Saturday, 31 August 10-12 noon
Sunday, 1 Sept 10-12 noon
Monday, 2 Sept 6-7pm
Tues 3 Sept 6-7pm
Wed 4 Sept 6-7pm
Thurs 5 Sept 10-12 noon and 6-7pm
Fri 6 Sept 9-12 noon

 

If it is not possible for you to drop-off, Sue on 07958 686621or Anne 07931 398121 will help with the collection of items.
